Sod Site User Agreement
Responsibility for Information and Measurements
All of the resources we provide to you, including the sod-calculator tool, buffer recommendations, articles and other information are just our suggestions. You are responsible for making the final decision on the amount of sod you need and you are responsible for the sod you order.
Our Policy on Cancellations and Order Changes
Because SodTurf.com provides sod that is cut fresh specifically for your order we require advanced notice to accommodate cancellations or order changes. Requests for cancellations or order changes must be sent to orders@sodturf.com before noon two business days prior to your scheduled delivery or pickup.
Delivery Policy
We guarantee that your sod will be delivered on the delivery day specified in your order. We do not accommodate requests for the time of day that the sod will be delivered nor are we able to provide delivery time estimates.
PRO TIP: If you know you will require sod in the morning you might consider ordering your sod for the day before.
Deliveries are made to the driveway by an 18-wheeler tractor truck and trailer. Please be sure that the delivery site is accessible by the truck. Accessibility will be determined by the driver. Any requests to place the pallets in a location other than the driveway are left to your own discretion and the discretion of the driver. If you or your representative request that the delivery be made to a location other than the driveway and the driver agrees to accommodate your request then you assume all liability for any property damage resulting from such a delivery. This includes but is not limited to damage to sprinkler systems, lawn or other vegetation, fences, or structures.
PRO TIP: If there is a shady part of your driveway to place the sod it will help it stay fresh until you can get it installed.
Pickup-Order Policies
Pickup orders will be cut, tagged, set aside, and made available to you at the pickup location on the day designated in your order. You are responsible for the sod after it is cut and reserved for you. It will be available for pickup after 10:00 am until the pickup location closes that day. If you do not pick up the sod on the day you designated then it will be available for you to pick up on the next day that the pickup location is open. Sod that is not picked up on the specified pickup day will be discarded at the end of the next day, you will not be entitled to a refund for sod that was not picked up or sod that was damaged due to a delay in pickup or installation.
VERY IMPORTANT: Do not load your own sod. Find an employee at the pickup location and they will help you find and load the sod that has been tagged and reserved for you. If you load sod from the stock that is available for purchase by walk-up customers then you will be billed for that sod in addition to the sod that has been tagged and set aside for your order.
PRO TIP: In order to have the best possible outcome we highly recommend that you pick up and install the sod as soon as you can.
Our Policy on Returns and Exchanges
Because sod is a live plant we do not accept returns. We do guarantee that your sod arrives to your delivery or pickup location healthy and on the agreed upon day. Our experienced sod farmers and harvesters provide our customers with the highest quality sod available. If your sod arrives damaged or not in acceptable condition you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery at orders@sodturf.com and include pictures and a description of the problem. Refunds or exchanges will be issued on a case-by-case basis.
PRO TIP: Sod is a living plant and must be cared for from the moment it is delivered. We make every attempt to minimize the time from harvesting to delivery and we recommend it is installed and then immediately watered within the day of arrival or first thing the next morning if you have requested delivery for the day before.
